What is music therapy?

Music therapy is a type of therapy that meets an individual's or group’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical needs using evidence-based therapeutic music experiences.


Who is music therapy for?

We are certified to work with infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) to older adults and everyone in between! We work with all ages and abilities.

Where do you provide services?

We travel to your place of residence, facility, school, or therapy center. We also conduct virtual sessions for those outside of the area.

How much does music therapy cost?

We strive to be transparent about all our prices and accept private pay, Step Up for Students scholarships, or can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance. Our facility group sessions have a maximum of 20 participants.

The pricing listed includes drive time, the music therapy session, and documentation that can be submitted to your insurance.

Do I have to know how to play an instrument?

Music experience is not required. Our music therapists adapt each session to your ability and needs. It’s about the experience, not the performance!

What does a music therapy session look like?

Music therapy sessions vary depending on the needs of the client. They will typically start with a hello song, transition into therapeutic music experiences (including, but not limited to, singing, playing instruments, music listening and discussion, music games, movement to music, songwriting etc.), and conclude with a goodbye song.

Is music therapy covered by insurance?

While we cannot take insurance directly at this time, we can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance to potentially receive reimbursement.

What facilities do you travel to?

Our therapists can travel to your home, school, therapy center, nursing home, assisted living facility, adult day care centers, and more.
